My language-impaired students don't always understand idioms, but some try to use them anyway.  I was impressed recently when one student appropriately told another who was bragging about winning the game to "quit rubbing it in our faces."  But I had to hold in my laughter when another student, disappointed that I was actually expecting him to work (what a concept!), told me, "You're such a potty pooper!"
