Last night kicked out the Fort Smith .NET User Group's first meeting. It went great! I would guess that we had at least 20 or 30 people show up.

Raymond Lewallen spoke to us about Behavior Driven Design (BDD). I thought I'd share links to a few of the resources that he brought up last night.

All in all, a great presentation. Considering the breadth of information that BDD covers, I think Raymond did a great job. I hope that FSDNUG can continue to bring topics like this to the area.

Yeah, I enjoyed the presentation as well. I especially liked his convention for naming test fixtures to communicate the context of the tests within them. And the Spec Unit extension methods were cool, too. I'll probably blog about some of those things myself in the couple of days. I think, though, that a lot of people there may not have had the exposure to unit testing that would make the presentation meaningful. Not Ray's fault, but I think the Silverlight talk next meeting may be a little more accessible. I don't think you can dumb down the scheduled topics to cater to the lowest common denominator, but officers may need to consciously start small and then scale up the complexity of the topics. Just my 2 cents... Thanks for your help in getting this started, Mo!

Great list of resources. I added a link to this entry from the FSDNUG site at http://www.fsdnug.org/previousMeetings.html because I think it will be helpful to those that were at the meeting that want to pursue BDD.
