Don’t you just love getting a new computer?

I picked up a new computer as a Christmas present to myself last year… hadn’t gotten around to seeing what the stats were for it until recently, though.

Not too shabby at all if I say so myself. It would be amazing with an SSD in there, but I did upgrade from a approximately 160 GB of storage to a terabyte so I’m not complaining. I particularly enjoy seeing a lot of graphs in task manager, too.

This thing is awesome.

Haha! Well, the CPU is one of the new quad-core Core i7 processors. Each one is hyperthreaded, so it shows up as two cores in task manager. It's got 8 GB of RAM, too. I can't remember some of the other specifics (like the exact model number on the video card and all) since I'm at work right now, it's pretty sweet. Makes my computer at work look like a 486 :)

Of course, my other desktop at home is a single core P3 that's around 6 years old so it was time for an update.
